What isazodicarbonamide?
1. Azodicarbonamide, also known as azodicarbonamide; diazene dicarboxylic acid amide; trade name as blowing agent AC or foaming agent ADC
2. Azodicarboxylate is a foaming agent commonly used in the industry and can be used in the production of yoga mats, rubber soles, etc. to increase the elasticity of the product. It can also be used in the food industry to increase the strength and flexibility of the flour dough.
AzodicarbonamideToxic effect
1. Different countries have different requirements for them. In the United States, it is a “recognized safe” food additive. The maximum use of flour is 45ppm;
2. In the UK, treat it as a respiratory sensitizer and believe that its presence in the workplace may induce asthma;
3. In China, it can also be used as a flour treatment agent in limited quantities.
4. The World Health Organization believes that limited animal experiments indicate that azodicarbonamide is mostly not absorbed after being inhaled or ingested by animals and is rapidly excreted through the feces. It is less acutely toxic to experimental animals and will not Irritate to skin, eyes and respiratory tract. There are insufficient studies to prove that azodicarbonamide is carcinogenic or reproductively toxic to animals or humans. However, there is sufficient evidence that azodicarbonamide can induce asthma and other respiratory symptoms, and may also sensitive the skin of workers exposed to azodicarbonamide, and its harmfulness to other systems has not been studied.
Azodicarbonamide uses
This product is used as a wheat flour treatment agent or a fast starter for baked goods. The safe and rapid oxidation of wheat flour can be accomplished at low levels to improve the physical properties of the dough and the desired structure of the high-gluten dough.
